Creative Play

We believe in the importance of creative play. Creative play begins between age 1 and 2 years old. A toddler will play dress up, explore with digging in sand, or splashing in water. Three- and four-year-olds will play restaurant, build with blocks, and create paper crafts. A five-year-old will enjoy painting, storytelling with puppets. Children are provided materials, time to explore, and the opportunity to use that material for self-expression and develop skills. We can support creative play by modeling how to create hands on projects, encouraging curiosity, and inspiring creative thinking.
